The Brief
This program had to do two jobs at once: run the group's formal business sessions properly, and give 150 delegates a genuine incentive experience around them. Port Douglas gave both room to work, and MAD built a program where the business side felt considered rather than bolted on, styled to match the wider event rather than treated as a separate track.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
A four-day business meeting and incentive program in Port Douglas for a major Australian bank with 150 delegates from around Australia. The program opened quietly: an intimate executive dinner for 25 at Silky Oaks Lodge's Riverbank, the first night before the wider group arrived. The following day, the full group came together for a cocktail event at Sugar Wharf on the water in Port Douglas. 150 guests under festoon lighting and open bars looking out over the water before the business sessions begun.
The next day brought the delegates to experience the icons of the region, a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony to open the morning, then the group split by choice: sailing, a Segway tour along the beach, or a river drift through the rainforest. The day closed back on land with an evening reception at Nautilus.
The program's final night was its biggest: a Gala Dinner for the full group of 150 on the Glade at Sheraton Grand Mirage. Running alongside all of it, all week, were the group's formal business sessions, styled to match the rest of the program rather than treated as a separate track, branded signage, tropical planting and delegate lounge zones threaded through.
