
On arrival, participants walk through the rainforest to a sugar cane clearing. Wait staff in their Bush Clad will be handing out champagne, juice and beroccas. As participant’s line up for their recovery drinks, a cane harvester makes its way along the track and clears the cane, revealing the breakfast site set in the middle of the cane field.
Tables and chairs are set and buffet stations serve eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and fresh fruit. Australian bush ballad minstrels stroll through the cane fields entertaining participants. After breakfast participants board coaches and travel a sort distance to Mossman Gorge, where an Aboriginal guide will take us on a Dreamtime walk through the rainforest.

The Kuku Yalanji are the indigenous inhabitants of the land, which stretches from Cooktown in the north, west to Chillagoe and south to Port Douglas. They are true rainforest people who live in harmony with their environment. After the tour and a dip in the refreshing water it is back to Port Douglas in time for lunch.
The “This is Australia” Day is suitable groups of 20 to 100 participants. All components of day can be altered to suit client budget. This is a half day activity.
