Team bonding at it’s peak!

In the last two weeks back at M.A.D more and more companies are getting into the teambuilding spirit. Maybe after Christmas we feel the staff need a little refreshment on how to get along as a team, whatever it is M.A.D as seen a huge boost this month of people getting together in the name of team spirit!

Our skyrail crossed with hummers crossed with laughter was a huge successive and despite the stinking hot weather. Teams did well in organising themselves to answer all the questions on their questionaire’s, some split ip to handle different aspects and others stayed together, which didn;t seem to impact on the results. Whilst answering questions they got to enjoy Skyrail and learn about the rainforest as well. Some teams were enjoying the Karunda hotel (one of the questions) a little too well and sampling the brew, which went down extremely well in hot conditions. Everybody got a huge thrill out of the hummers - it was nice and muddy after the rain a few days before. Results were announced over a cold beer and wacky prizes were distributed before the return to the hotelk. The theme for the conference was mission impossible, so they all had water pistols to add to the fun.

Tuesday this week saw Billy Carts, another big hit with twelve teams competing. One team member had to enter the pool retrieve the nuts and bolts necassaary to build their carts, with some unknown prankster hiding somebody else’s nuts and bolts in the skimmer box. Some teams put their carts together quickly and other took a bit of time - strangely ther were always a few nuts, bolts and washer left over from the builds, which lost them points on construction and made us wonder if they were going to fall apart during trials. The cart decoration waas fantastic with all sorts of different designs aand cart names. It was hard to pick the winners! The time trial was the final test, with some carts falling apart along the way and some having steering problems, along with suffering from water bomb attacks from other teams. One team even had airbags (balloons) and got extra points for those! In the end, it was a 3-way tie on points and the team out of the three with the fastet time won. Prizes were coconut medallions and they all wore them proudly. Until next time…
